I used the VCDS 18.9.exe that was provided with the cable at first (When I started the software you can see a pop up written VCDS loader 7.0) And go to option and do TEST, If CABLE and all is ok Activation should back to Activate status. You use kolimer 7.2 loader? Use loader but with eng 18.9.0. Than bootloader still Life then you can try flashing using VAGCOM_EEWriteLang And press READ (PRESS WITH CONNECTED PLUG TO 12V) if show you not reapond than you brick atmega162.
